About
Snow Farm's trails are expertly groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The terrain follows mountainous streams or up high onto the Pisa Range. Trails are easily accessible for skiers of all ages and abilities. We have a base building that houses our fantastic lodge located right on the ski trails, you can literally ski in and out right from the back door on to the trails. The trails themselves are based on a loop system where you head out on one trail then find yourself back at the lodge before you know it. The loops vary from around 800m right up to 20-30km depending how many you want to add on. We are based in the Southern alps so there are absolutely amazing views out over the snow covered mountains whilst you are skiing on the trails, there are no trees and therefore you can use the amazing backdrop for your photos to send home.Snow Farm is New Zealands only cross country ski area. Established in 1990, it is now recognised all over the world as the place to be during the northern hemisphere summer. Internatioanl ski teams train at the Snow Farm and athletes from all sports use cross country skiing for training. Families from Australia looking for that perfect getaway and New Zealanders just after a break use the Snow Farm to relax and unwind, enjoy the views and take in the best of what New Zealand has to offer. Catering for some of the top XC skiiers and ski teams in the world we pride ourselves on the quality of our trails and snow. We also have a host of events including the now famous Merino Muster (42km), ITU Winter Triathlon races, FIS continental cup and heaps more, there is something on almost every weekend for you to get involved in - the Snow Farm has a warm and friendly atmosphere, welcoming to everyone and a wonderful place to spend some time in July, August and September!

Adult day pass and rental = NZD $55
Student day pass and rental = NZD $45
Child day pass and rental = NZD $25
If you need lessons we also offer an hour instruction for either classic or skate for a further NZD$ 30 per person, package with pass, rental and 1hr lesson = NZD $85 per Adult
we have also back country huts available to stay in, packages with these include 2 days skiing and rental plus your night in the hut for NZD $110-120 per Adult.

Ski Lessons
Group and private lessons are available for all, we have highly qualified instructors who do an amazing job. Wether you are a beginner or need a few tips on fine tuning your technique they can help you out. Lessons are traditionally 1hr in duration and can be designed to suit what you want to achieve from the lesson. The instructors will even take you around the trails of your choice or out to one of the magnificant huts.Ski Racing Programs

We are looking to put in a Biathlon range for the 2008 season that will be of up to international standards with approx 8 lanes.Dining
Snow Farm's Alpine Lodge has a fully catered bar, resturant and Cafe catering to your energy hungry needs every day. Staying at the lodge we provide a continental breakfast and a buffet dinner with your room rate - the Snow Farm is renowned for its amazing food and lets just say... you wont go hungry! We also have a fully licenced bar providing a selection of NZ wine and beer for you to sample whilst enjoying your dinner or even to quench your thurst after a hard day skiing. Wanaka also has a number of great resturants catering for all sorts of different tastes and wallet sizes.Bars and Nightlife
Queenstown is renowned as one of the party capitals of the world and it seems every night is a Saturday night there, it has a range of bars, resturants and nightclubs catering for all ages and all hours of the night. Wanaka is a little more subdued but still in a class of its own, boasting some of the best bars in NZ, there is always something going on in this awesome alpine town. Night clubs run till about 2pm and the resturants and bars till around 12amLodging, Hotels, and Condos
The Snow Farm's Alpine Lodge at the base buidling offers accommodation up to 60 people. The facilities include, cafe, restaurant, licensed bar, tv room, internet facilities, and fully equipped gym. Based on top of the Southern Alps in the South Island of NZ there arent many better places to come and stay, the views out the window over the mountains and the national park are breath taking and offer amazing sunsets either out of your bedroom window, the cafe or the bar and resturant upstairsOther Recreation Nearby
Wanaka is only 35km and Queenstown 50km from Snow Farm. Renowned as the adventure capital of the world there are many activities for the adrenaline junkies in both Queenstown and Wanaka whether it be Bungy Jumping, Jet boating or rafting! There are also a number of more subdued activities including Lord of the ring tours, lake cruises or going to check out the magnificant scenery of the nearby national park and glaciers.Directions to Snow Farm
