Cross Country Center is closed until a new operator is found. From its rustic warming hut beside a picturesque pond, Butternut Cross Country offers 9 kilometers of groomed cross country trails . The trail system wanders over varying terrain, through a beautiful wooded area near the base of Butternut Ski Area.
Butternut is the perfect choice for families who want to combine cross country and downhill skiing. The trails offer easy access to the Upper Lodge and the downhill skiing facilities, including cafeteria, ski shop, and child care. Ideal for a weekend getaway in the Berkshires.

Cross Country Skiing Lessons at Ski Butternut Cross Country Center
Butternut Cross Country has established a reputation for quality cross country instruction by placing equal emphasis on technique and fun. Our instructors will provide you with personalized and comprehensive guidance in learning the sport of cross country skiing. Group lessons are given at 11 AM and 1:30 PM.
Butternut also offers telemark lessons and has excellent terrain for your first telemark lesson as well as for the more advanced skier.
