About Lone Mountain Ranch
From flat terrain on the Meadow Village golf course to more challenging terrain on trails at 8000 feet like Siberia, Ranch guests can experience a wide variety of trails. Over 85 kilometers of groomed trails offer excellent skiers for all levels. Located in southwest Montana near Yellowstone National Park, Lone Mountain Ranch is in the perfect spot for a winter vacation with endless recreational possibilities. Over 85 kilometers of groomed cross country ski trails wind through meadows and mountains offering spectacular vistas for all levels of skiers. Yellowstone Park is magical during the winter with snow ghosted trees, thermal features and wintering herds of elk and bison. Ranch guides lead tours into this winter wonderland each week. PSIA instructors offer all levels of lessons at the Ranch. In addition to exceptional cross country skiing, Ranch guests can snowshoe on Ranch trails, downhill ski at world class Big Sky ski resort, try a dogsledding tour and fly fish with ORVIS endorsed guides.
The Ranch provides plenty of creature comforts as well. Cozy, comfortable log cabins accomodate from two to 9 people. Guests enjoy gathering at the end of the day in the log dining lodge to share stories of their adventures.
