Crystal Lake Ski Center is located in a bowl at the top of mountain in the Alleghny Ridge. The ski shop and base lodge are located in the middle of the bowl on the edge of Crystal Lake. Trails began in front of the ski shop with an easy loop around Crystal Lake perfect for beginners or for a warm up loop. You can stay close to the base with a series of loops on Hidden Pond Trail, Blueberry Trail and Wild Rice Trail trails that offer rolling terrain perfect for an intermediate skier. Or you can head to the top of the ridge where you have your choice of beginner loops like Pitch Pine and Laurel Trails or the Fern Loops. Intermediate skers will enjoy the very popular Blue Moon Trail. Advanced skiers often head straight for Super Loop, Zinger, Wazoo and Hungry Bear.Looking for snow in the mid Atlantic region? Crystal Lake Ski Center should be the first place you look. Our unique snowbowl location usually has snow when the rest of the region is bare and our trail system is second to none, with a varied terrain to please beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers. We are a full service area with rentals, ski instruction, and ski patrol, Crystal Lake is a friendly place with lots of "regulars" who are always happy to share tips on their favorite trails.
