More About Minocqua Winter Park
About
Winter Park is a popular destination for skiers from throughout the Midwest with on average over 10,000 skier visits each year. While there are numerous cross country ski trails in the area, no others offer the day lodge, ski school, ski shop, café and impeccable grooming that is sought after by destination skiers.Winter Park’s highly glaciated terrain is part of the Willow Flowage Watershed. Its hills, woodlands and wetlands are highly scenic and are ideal for Nordic trails.
Winter Park is well integrated into the communities of the Lakeland Area. Strong ties have been developed with the business community, town government, health care providers, schools, service clubs and the Chamber of Commerce. Winter Park is home to the Lakeland Middle and High School Nordic Ski Teams, Nordic Kids Youth Ski Program and a small ski jumping program as well.
