About Palmquist's FarmStep outside your cabin, strap on your skis, and glide onto one of the 20 miles of ski trails on Palmquist Farm that will take you through some of Wisconsin's most remote and beautiful forests and back country. You'll glide through maple groves and cedar swamps, up hardwood ridges and into the Tiaga ski trail north of "The Farm." Try the 24-hour, lighted trail for a soft and peaceful after-dinner or before-bed ski. You'll find our trails very quiet with low traffic, so you can ski at your own time and pace. Our trails range from beginner to intermediate level in difficulty which makes them the perfect place to learn cross country skiing for the first time, teach your child, or come back to the sport you used to love. Our trails are groomed for skating and classical skiing by our state-of-the-art Pisten Bully groomer. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
Greetings from "The Farm" located on the edge of the wilderness in the Northwoods of Wisconsin! Our 800-acre ranch straddles the Somo River and has been a working beef, buffalo, deer, and tree farm for four generations although our primary passion is great Finnish hospitality that goes back nearly 110 years. At "The Farm" you can escape to the country and relax, enjoy our beautiful, rural surroundings, eat our amazing Finnish meals, cross-country ski, ride your horse, hike, hunt, spend time with family or friends, take a Finnish sauna, go on a sleigh ride, or a host of other activities. You'll also enjoy our comfortable, cottage-like accommodations with modern amenities and beautiful brick wood-burning fireplaces. There are no strangers at "The Farm," only friends you haven't met yet. We look forward to your visit, and don’t forget to take a look at our Blog to see what’s happening at “The Farm!”
