About Black Moshannon State Park
Most trails in the park are open and skiiable. Get a map at the park office or from website for details. The park is surrounded by State Forest lands which offer many additional miles of trails. Trails are not groomed. Trails open to snowmobiles are sometimes groomed. Parking and restrooms at Park Office and Beach Hhouse are open in winter. All trails in th epark are open to cross country skiing. Black Moshannon State Park is located within Black Moshannon State Forest.(http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/forestry/stateforests/moshactivities.aspx).
Black Moshannon State Forest offers vast opportunities for cross-country skiing. Trails and low-use and gated roads may also be available for cross-country skiing when they are snow covered. Contact Black Moshannon State Forest District Office at 814-765-0821for forest trail information and maps.

The new Ski Slope Trail is skiable but difficult. Weather conditions in the park are updated on website. The Star Mill and Sleepy Hollow trails are now loops.

Six modern cabins are available year-round and have electric heat, bedrooms, living/dining room, kitchen and bath. Renters of modern cabins must supply their own bed linens, towels, dishes, pots, pans and dinnerware. Cabins are available for weekly rental in summer and on a daily basis during other seasons.
