
About Hinton Nordic Center
Trails are groomed for both classic and skating with state of the art equipment. Challenge yourself on trails that have been used for a World Cup Biathlon Race and numerous Alberta Cups and Western Championships in both cross country and biathlon. Or take a tour on our many recreational trails then warm up in the heated day lodge. Be sure to bring water there isn’t any water on site.

Ski Racing Programs at Hinton Nordic Center
XC and Biathlon racing program runs from Sept. to May. We are hosting the Western biathon cup race in March 6-8, 2009.
Improvements This Season at Hinton Nordic Center
Recent Improvements
We have recently conducted trail improvements to increase the amount of recreational trail and added a sunny viewpoint. For a great tour take the Snowy River out to the viewpoint and return by the Home Run trail.

The Old Grind behind the green square at the hill shopping centre has cappuccino,latte, internet, and desserts. Overlander lodge on highway 16 before the Jasper park gate offers five star dining.

Recreation Around Hinton Nordic Center
The Athabasca Lookout Nordic Centre is located in William A. Switzer Provincial Park where you can explore a chain of five lakes, view wildlife, and participate in public interpretation programs. There is a natural luge nearby, contact the Luge Association at 780-865-2922. Blue Lake Centre is also located in Switzer Park and offers ski rentals and group accommodations, contact www.bluelakealberta.ca.
