About Lakewood Cross Country Ski Trails
Lakewood XC ski trails are almost exclusively on the Nicolet National Forest. There is no mandatory fee required. However, donations are encouraged. The trail is maintained entirely by volunteers through the Lakewood XC ski club. The trail is groomed for both skating and classical skiing by a Pisten-Bulley groomer. Call the skier hotline 715-276-1SKI to obtain the latest trail conditions. The trail has from beginner to expert trails. It is primarily a point to point trail of 20 kilometers with several side trails that provide a short cut. The main parking area is on Old Highway 32 about 1 mile off of County Highway F.
