Whatever our reason, we refuse to widen the trails on our 260 acres to accommodate lesser skiers. We will not cut into our 100+ acres of beautiful glades just to raise our trail number. We’ll offer terrain that challenges all levels. But we’ll never call a blue run black so people can feel they’ve skied something they actually haven’t. This is Vermont–you should earn it. If you can’t ski or ride it, we’ll teach you. You’ll learn to appreciate the natural contours of the mountain. You’ll learn to see your line, not the trees it weaves through. And you’ll learn, or maybe remember, what made Vermont skiing so great in the first place.

Explore all the beauty of the Northeast Kingdom at a slightly slower pace. Step into snowshoes or cross-country skis and trek through a stitched-together network of old logging lanes, forgotten country roads and rolling Vermont farmland. Maintained by our partners, Kingdom Trails, the 80 km of breathtaking trails is divided into two very distinct areas.

Darling Hill

Picturesque barns. Cows in the pasture. Charming inns. Stunning views. Criss-crossing historic Darling Hill, you’ll wonder if every pastoral Vermont postcard ever seen was taken on one of these masterfully groomed 20+ km trails. Dashney Farm Home of Kingdom Trails Nordic Center and near the base of the Alpine ski area, these 60+ km of skating and classic trails take you between the surrounding woods and the quiet fields of the old farm. The training area for the Burke Mountain Academy Nordic Team, the Dashney area has enough great terrain and loop alternatives to cater to all levels.
