About Justin Trails Resort
Trails are groomed with a Skandik snowmobile and a Tidd Tech groomer for skating and track is set for striding. Trails begin from the Lodge in the valley and wind out into the forest and up onto the ridges with great vistas. All trails are loops that circle back to the Lodge.
Snowshoeing trails are separate from ski trails. Several brands of snowshoes are available for rent for $5/day. Two snow tubing hills are available. Tube Pro tubes offer a safe ride for all ages. The tubes have a hard plastic bottom so young children sitting in the bottom are cushioned by the tube around them. Trails wind through hardwood forest of red, white and burr oak, hickory, and also paper birch, and aspen. Variety of terrain offers easy trails with less than 50 feet of elevation change to elevation change of 200 feet for training for the Birkebeiner Race from Hayward to Cable. There are also intermediate trails. Trails are protected from the wind. Some are on the North side of the hill so maintain snow longer.
