More About Silver Star
About
Over 23 feet of dry, Okanagan powder snow falls from the heavens every year to cover over 60 kms of track set trails that are groomed to perfection each and every morning. Adjacent to the resort is the Sovereign Lake Nordic Club offering another 50km of maintained trails. It’s easy to see why many international World Cup and Olympic athletes choose to train here. Those who journey to Silver Star are pleasantly surprised by the distinctive vacation experience found at “the Star” and claim ownership. In fact, Silver Star is the official training centre for the 2010 Norwegian Nordic Olympic team. Silver Star strives to make your family holiday both memorable and carefree with its genuine friendliness and customer service. The village is located mid-mountain which means all the accommodations, restaurants, pubs and shopping are truly ski-in ski-out. If you want to relax, soak in your private hot tub or enjoy an afternoon at the on-mountain day spa. The focus is on family at Silver Star and there are lots of great activities after a day on the slopes including the snow tubing park the natural frozen outdoor pond for skating or playing hockey.
