Miles of terrain is waiting for your next mountain adventure. There are plenty of trails for beginner and advanced alike. Rock Creek is a glaciated canyon surrounded by peaks of over 13,000'. Unsurpassed beauty surrounds you.Rock Creek Lodge is a backcountry destination ski area. Located in the Eastern Sierra of California on the edge of the John Muir Wilderness. Rock Creek boasts unlimited terrain for all levels of cross country skiers. After a day of skiing join other skiers for a gourmet meal in our beautiful dining room. An authentic Finnish Sauna is an excellent way to end a day of skiing the backcountry. Both modern and rustic cabins are available for accommodations. Rock Creek lodge is snowed-in two miles and guests are transported in on snowmachines. Groups are welcome and personally taillored instruction can be arranged for both children and adults. A backcountry hut , located on the edge of the John Muir Wilderness is also available for rent. The hut is equipped with a kitchen, woodstove for heat, chairs, and provides excellent access for backcountry adventures. Make Rock Creek Lodge your next backcountry destination.

Ski Lessons
Lessons are available in all disiplines of cross country skiing. Guide service can be arranged with a local service. Scout groups can focus on skills to achieve various badges.Improvements This Season
Sheets on the beds in the modern cabins ranks at the top for most recent improvements. A recently remodeled dining room with big windows and nice views of trees, mountains and picturesque buildings. Eight new modern cabins add to the capacity of the lodge. a new lounge room with a stone fireplace to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner or check your email during the day.Dining
There is only one dining room in the canyon and it is at Rock Creek Lodge. A pre Fix menu is served each evening with four courses. All of our breads & desserts are made on site. We offer a dining adventure with a ski-in option or ride in on one of our snowmobiles for a unique dining experience. Groups are welcome and private parties can be accommodated with advance notice.Bars and Nightlife
We are 8 miles from the highway and snowed-in two of those miles so night life is focused around dinner and the clothing optional Finnish sauna. Full moon skis around the lodge, reading, conversation, movies are the usual. Private groups often rent the dining room for parties and the lodge hosts a New Years party.Lodging, Hotels, and Condos
Choose either rustic or modern cabins. Rustic cabins have wood stoves for heat and a centrally located bath house. Be sure to bring your own sleeping bag. Modern cabins are equipped with sheets and forced air heat with bathrooms located in the cabin. Meals are part of the package and served family style in our lovely dining room.
