About Grafton Ponds Nordic Ski

Skiing is offered on more than 30 kilometers of snow cat groomed trails on 2,000 acres of diverse landscape. The ski center is open daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. All trails are groomed for both classic and skate skiing. Snowmaking also covers close to 5 kilometers of trail to guarantee great skiing anytime. Snowshoe trails includes 15 kilometers of specific trails that weave throughout the ski area. Trails range from easy to difficult with one of the higher trails wandering through the wilderness atop Bear Hill Summit. Snow Tubing is one of the most exciting activities at Grafton Ponds. From age two to 72, snow tubers follow no stereotype. It's the thrill of speeding down a 600' hill that lures many visitors to Grafton Ponds. Our Ice Skating rink is on one of two natural ponds at Grafton Ponds. Set about 75 yards from the lodge, this pond is surrounded by meadows and mountains and offers beautiful views.

Visitors to Grafton can expect to find a tranquil New England village with 19th century grace and a relaxed pace - an ideal antidote to the hectic outside world. While that's exactly what they will get, it's not all they get. Grafton's peaceful setting serves up a full plate for sports enthusiasts and rambunctious travelers seeking outdoor recreation and activities. Far from being only a restful Currier & Ives hamlet, Grafton today has become a favored gathering place for x-c skiers, mountain bikers, runners, hikers seeking fresh air. The southeast corner of Vermont is filled with brew pubs, country and outlet stores, ski shops, museums, summer stock play houses and delicious cafes to visit. For overnight lodging, The Old Tavern remains just as special today as it was over a century ago when two of America's foremost nature lovers, Emerson and Thoreau, discovered it.
