More About Auburn Ski Club

About

The Club's Trails are located at a base elevation of 7200 feet, and benefit from great snowfall and good northern exposure. Our trails are usually the first to open and the last to close, and in drought years, such as 2011-12, retain snow the longest. The track system is compact and the terrrain rolling - there is not a lot of flat track. Most of the trails are rated intermediate, with some exciting advanced trails, and superb vistas from the Crater Lake trail.

Auburn Ski Club trails are among the top rated in the Sierra for quality. Tracks are groomed to competition standard (weather permitting) at all times. The Club specializes in top quality, season long programs, for children and Master skiers, offering coaching from various clinicians such as Olympian Nancy Fiddler. The spacious Club house is open to all members and daily skiers and includes a small snack bar. Numerous races are hosted all season in both classic and freestyle format. Childrens programs are available for 5 years and up, Masters programs are open to all adults on Thursdays and Saturdays. Auburn Ski Club features a Biathlon range, Biathlon races and numerous clinics for everyone interested in this growing sport. Ages 8 years and up.
