About Sierra-at-Tahoe
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort is Northern California's home away from home. At this resort, guests are greeted by name and treated like family. Located on Highway 50, Sierra is the closest major snowsports resort to San Francisco and Sacramento, yet it's just a stone's throw away from the glitz of South Lake Tahoe and a multitude of hotel and casino lodging options.
Convenience, value and great service are just a few of the words that summarize Sierra. Another asset is the location of its slopes, which are wind-protected and cradle the fresh powder for days.
Skiers and riders of all ability levels can easily find their niche here, whether it's exploring the never-ending tree skiing, cruising down a 2.5 mile beginner run from the summit or hucking themselves off a tabletop in one of the many terrain parks and pipes scattered throughout the mountain.

What's New This Season at Sierra-at-Tahoe
Sierra Resort has taken a direct shot at the price barrier to learning a new sport in a tough economy with a $35 beginner package that includes a limited access lift ticket, rental equipment and a 2 ½ hour lesson. The $35 Learn to Ski/Snowboard package is valid for adults age 13+, Sunday through Friday, non-holiday and excluding restricted dates. It is available in limited quantities and only online.
Expert skiers and riders will have a whole new way to experience Huckleberry Canyon, Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort’s double black diamond terrain. Free backcountry tours will take qualified skiers and riders out the five gates every Friday, when conditions allow. The one hour tour will introduce skiers and riders to the terrain, offer advice on various lines, chutes and drops, and give directions on when and where to exit the Canyon. A new 1,800 square foot deck at the Baja Bar and Grill in West Bowl will keep the best beach party on snow going all winter long.
