Everett Kircher founded Boyne Mountain in 1947. This Bavarian style resort is located in the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan in Charlevoix County, about 250 miles north of Detroit and 17 miles south of Petoskey on US-131. What's New This Season at Boyne
For more than 60 years Boyne Mountain has been perfecting the winter getaway with a wide variety of activities. Experience the finest in Michigan downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing. The NEW Zipline Adventure has you soaring a series of ziplines through trees and valleys.
The BOYNE SnowSports Academy is adding a new cildren's learning center, complete with a Magic Carpet and teaching carousel, next to Helga's House. Helga’s House is located at the base of Boyneland and is the home for Boyne Mountain's the Playcare and Children's Learning Center.
BOYNE'S glade skiing terrain has expanded between the Hemlock and McClouth slopes, north of Disciples and Superbowl trails. Precision select-cutting over the last two years has created over seven acres of additional tree skiing/riding terrain.
