About Boyne

Everett Kircher founded Boyne Mountain in 1947. This Bavarian style resort is located in the northwest lower peninsula of Michigan in Charlevoix County, about 250 miles north of Detroit and 17 miles south of Petoskey on US-131. As the Midwest’s premier four-season resort, Boyne Mountain offers snowsports, championship golf, the largest indoor waterpark in Michgan, world-class spa, lodging, dining, meeting facilities, a variety of outdoor activities and real estate opportunities. In addition to downhill skiing and riding, Boyne Mountain offers 35K of cross-country trails, a tubing park, ice skating, snowshoeing, and a legendary SnowSports Academy. NEW this season is the Zipline Adventure. Starting from platforms in the trees, glide down the mountain on a zipline!

A jam-packed calendar of events; activities and events are planned nearly every weekend. Olympian, Cary Adgate, is returning as a Boyne Resorts Ski Ambassador and as is active in the SnowSports Academy and on the slopes

The NEW Zipline Adventure has you soaring a series of ziplines through trees and valleys. The BOYNE SnowSports Academy is adding a new cildren's learning center, complete with a Magic Carpet and teaching carousel, next to Helga's House.
