About Jay Peak
Jay Peak is a 4-season resort located in Vermont's pristine Northeast Kingdom in the town of Jay on Route 242. The Northeast Kingdom, two thousand square miles in Orleans, Caledonia and Essex counties, is Vermont's last frontier. The name is credited to Senator George Aiken who remarked in 1949, "You know, this is such beautiful country up here, it ought to be called the Northeast Kingdom." It is the most rural part of the state.
