2" 30" Powder  reported: 12/21/2014 at 12:30 PM EST by Kelly

Groomed, Tracked, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Calm, Snowy, Making Snow

Skied Ragged on Sunday 12.21. It snowed steadily all morning though accumulations were modest. No wind at all making for a fantastic day of skiing. No crowds. New high speed quad now open on Spear Mountain. Overall good conditions on the trails that are open. Some icy spots, but nothing to worry about. And Santa was there for the little ones!

Groomed, Tracked, Skied Off, Refrozen, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Flat Light

With no fresh snow since last weeks warm-up, rain and then refreeze conditions are solid underfoot. A sharp edge is key to enjoying what is out there and making the most of it. The glades are great at Ragged when there is fresh snow.......but it's just too frozen solid to ski anything but the main trails.
0" 20" Hard Pack  reported: 04/06/2013 at 12:32 PM EST by Kelly

Groomed, Thin Spots, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Windy, Sunny

Skied 04.06. Crazy how chilly it was up there for April. The snow never softened up even in the afternoon with clear skies and full sun. Bummer as no spring bumps. The woods are done, but great coverage on the trails.

Groomed, Tracked, Uncrowded

Spring storm brought about 10 inches of new snow! Found most of the glades open and in decent shape. Still had to watch what you skied over but plenty of good coverage to make your way through without any real damage to the skis! Found few people on the slopes. Spring conditions best of the season!

What a pleasure to ski on freshly groomed real snow. The mountain has some great skiing and super fast 6-pack chair lift. Mountain set-up very nicely with base lodges convenient to chairlifts. Wonderful ski experience. Gunstock should send their groomers here to learn how to groom a mountain properly.
