2" 30" Packed Powder  reported: 03/16/2014 at 4:05 PM EST by Kelly

Groomed, Tracked, Icy Spots, Sunny

Pat's Peak is a great resort if you have little ones in tow. Lots of easy and wide open trails and when the weather cooperates, it's an all out winner. Sun today (chill temperatures) and a good base for mid-March. Some icy stops, but to be expected with the crowds.

Groomed, Tracked, Skied Off, Uncrowded, Sunny

The cold temps must have kep alot of folks indoors today as it was not busy on the hill. There was a race at Pats Peak today so it seemed most of the people there must have been there for the race, only the lodge seemed busy not the slopes or the lifts. Packed powder and a sold frozen base beneath made for decent skiing.

Groomed, Tracked

Absolutely the best conditions yet this year. The bit of snow that fell mid-week, topped off with the expert snow making over the past few days make for deep, packed powder with 100% coverage. Combine that with gorgeous, mild weather and low crowds and you get the best day yet this year. Might be back tomorrow!

Groomed, Tracked, Skied Off, Icy Spots, Crowded, Calm, Sunny, Flat Light

Perfect temps and no wind today. Flat light in the am with the sun breaking thru by noon. By mid-day the weekend crowds had filled the slopes and the trils were getting icy in some places. Race at the mountain made or a bit more lift traffic than a normal Sunday.

Tracked, Skied Off, Icy Spots, Sunny

The big game kept the crowds down but with two races on the hill it filled in the gap. Mountain Dew made their tour stop and the SL qualifier. Cold start in the am but the sun warmed things up. By late morning the icy spot were showing through.

Groomed, Tracked, Wet, Wet Spots, Crowded

A new Years Day of Sping like skiing conditions! Wow.... when has that combination gone down before! Soft wet snow for easy turns, with the sun coming out for the 2nd half of the day, sure made it feel like we missed winter all together and spring happened on Jan 1st!

Groomed, Thin Spots, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Windy, Making Snow

The operations managers at Pat's Peak have done an amazing job getting this hidden gem open and with really great conditions. They're blowing snow every minute possible to get all the trails open. The base is in place and we were skiing fresh and packed powder. Can get a little thin around the edges but otherwise some of the best snow you'll find in New Hampshire considering it hasn't actually snowed!
