Vail is truly the Best of the West...If your dreaming of the best skiing or snowboarding in the US, Vail is the ski resort to go to. Although pricey, you will be glad you coughed up the extra dough. Vail offers over 5000 acres of skiing, terrain for all abilities, easy to navigate, excellent amenities. Hotels are beautiful and many to chose from. The back bowls are usually filled with powder, offer long trails, and are always exhilarating. If you have not been to Vail, put this ski resort at the top of you list! The Best of the West will NOT let you down! |

Beautiful scenery. Some friends and I took ski/snowboard classes there and the school was very well organized. The town itself is easy to get around without a car. |

Corporate Resort.......
Posted on 02/13/2003 by: Illostraight After skiing here for 20 years, I've noticed: •Longer lift lines •Best varied terrain (athough more snow is needed-got warm and has a scratchy base-it still beats New England) •Less Ski Patrol presence (attitude) •No 'specialized' feeling....all the same corporate buildings. Losing any charm it once held. You can't tell if your at Breck, Okemo, Canyons, ect, anymore. They all look the same. •Local restaurants disappearing-(two left-Bart & Yetti's and DJ MacAdams) re$ort clothing/ski stores replacing these. Omnipresent
