Awesome terrain park 03/13/2014 by: Patricia Salvatore Love the new park, if you like to ride the rails and do some tricks, Sunday River provides a great terrain park to do just that.

My Fav Mountain! 11/28/2012 by: Anonymous Sunday River is by far my favorite mountain in New England. The mountain is fun to ski, easy for beginners but challenging enough for advanced skiiers. I've stayed several times and the accomodations are always great. Night life is a lot of fun here!

great overall 12/26/2011 by: noah Usually good in the middle of winter. Grooming is good on weekends, not done as well on weekdays, empty during week, crowded at times on weekend, people are friendly, not many from new york or new jersay which is a plus, can be expensive but frequently has good deals, some decent places to eat off mountain. glades are fun but not open enough

Great Fun 01/02/2011 by: Anonymous Great Day the 30th. Much less ice than anticipated. The lines went quick and were not long. Looking forward to more trails being open in the near future.

Fun Place, Pretty full of people 01/25/2010 by: Christina Sunday River is pretty full usually. And for a reason! This is a really fun place to go; the skiing is lots of fun, the food is way yummier than usual resorts. They have more food options, so one can just go get a soup in a broad bowl or a bar-b-q sandwich. Although expensive, the variability of the cafeteria is pretty impressive. The skiing was lots of fun! Very few ice patches overall and NONE on the green circles. This weekend there were a few dirty spots, but it wasnt too bad. The parks were well groomed and the landings were not icy at all. I got a corporate discount... apparently many companies have this, so check with yours. Tickets were then $63 for the full day. Great price!

Great variety of skiing 01/24/2010 by: Kathy Arsenault Great variety of skiing on various peaks and lift lines are not too bad with the capability of moving people quickly with high speed lifts but bring your own lunch, the food is very expensive.

Lots of Good Terrain - Very Spread Out 11/09/2009 by: Anonymous The River has great terrain when fully open, and if you know the mountian well you can usually find the right spot and avoid crowds, but the problem is that you spend more time trying to get to a trail you want to ski then skiing it. Snow conditions are good and if you can get up there midweek the crowds do not exist, particuarly with how spread out the mountian is.

Huge, when there's snow! 03/05/2009 by: MJW Jordan Bowl is a great cruising expansion. Tends sunnier and less windy later. The Jordan Grand is a high end hotel with two nice restaurants and every modern amenity. It is remote from the rest of SR, think about your nighttime plans. Many lodging options from dated to new. Summit Hotel nice, very clean. Food is just ok, service is variable depending on who you get; locals tend to be typical gruff Mainers. Bit noisy so stay away from the elevators & stairwells. Our snow was phenomenal, right after a 20" dump. Several intermed fun glades trails. Total variety of terrain from simple to really hard, mostly blue. Great views, very good grooming everywhere. Long trip, much variety going across all 8 peaks!

Best East!!! 03/01/2009 by: Jon Skied SR midweek 2/24-2/26. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. I completely agree with everything Michael says below. Great place for beginners as well, Learn to Ski/Ride programs are well structured and inexpensive. 8 peaks and infinite snow...something for everyone. White Heat will get the blood pumping, Shockwave will tear you apart!

Great Large Ski Area in New England! 01/05/2009 by: Michael Great mountain with tons of terrain. Good place to go for over night trips. Great local food and entertainment. 8 Peaks of non-stop powder and fun. I would recommend this mountain to anyone. It's the place where the west comes east!

Great time at Sunday River 01/04/2009 by: Sherie Bourgeois Stayed two nights at a slopeside condo which included skiing for two days. Couldn't beat the price. The condo was great with easy ski in and out right to the lifts. We were close by to just about everything. We also enjoyed the entertainment, which was a great value as well. We are looking forward to going back.

Very well run! 12/28/2008 by: Anonymous Just got back from a weekend trip to Sunday River. I was surprised that it wasn't busier for a holiday weekend (two days after Christmas). We hardly had to wait in line for a lift! There was a mix of conditions on the trails. A little ice, but many places had powder despite a little rain and fog. I enjoyed the new chondola. The chairs seat six and move quickly up to North Peak. Can't wait to go again!

Great family ski area 03/01/2008 by: Mary B We stayed 2 nights in a slopeside condo! What fun. The skiing was awesome, one day of several inches of new powder on trails that had been groomed, and the following day great groomed trails. We are already looking forward to a return trip. All the lift workers are friendly from first run to last. Just amazing. Our first trip here, but we will certainly be back again.

Last Weekend at Sunday River 01/10/2008 by: Anonymous Lift lines are managed very well at Sunday River. Stayed at Snow Cap Inn. Not sure why they have trash pickup at 4:50 AM but I'm sure I wasn't the only person to be woken up by sound of trash being compacted! Pretty bummed that Obession was closed all weekend due to North American Ski races. Why all weekend? Would love to have skied it for a day or at least half a day. MUST try a Crepe at Crepe Cabana at bottom of Barker. The Banana/Nutell was as good as I've had in Paris, maybe better!!!
