Not what it used to be when Herma ran it, poor value now! 04/15/2015 by: Anonymous Too much focus on building huge half pipes and jumps, too little on providing high quality grooming. Groomers leave ridges between passes and fail to smooth them over. Little concern with keeping ice sheets covered with snow and marking dangerous patches of ice on the trails. Food is generally priced in the stratosphere and it's quality is ever lower. Lifties are generally polite and helpful and the few staff members in the lodge are working as hard as they can to take care of customers buying food. Generally it seems like there is little concern with making season pass holders feel like they have not been fleeced with the high prices of their pass and the poor conditions slopeside. All in all, it is the only game in town and the new owners are making the best of it, for themselves. Where else would the main lift (Polar Bear Express) serving the entire area be broken down for several days in the middle of the season?

Great Family Resort 01/18/2015 by: A Cera Lots of fun activities to do even if you don't ski or snowboard. Food is great. Bartenters are fun to chat with. The staff are there to help you when you need them. Kids programs are run by a staff that are hard working. Snow is best first thing in the AM after the groomers work their magic.

Slipping A Bit 02/06/2012 by: Anonymous Service not what it used to be. Lodge and Bathrooms clean to start but not kept up with during the day. Food selection poor and gets more expensive every year. Bring power bars to refuel with rather than open a second mortgage. Resort food is average at best. Prices up on nearly everything, overall value has declined, making price increases more frustrating. Seven Springs in the minority of mountains that have raised NASTAR prices for public racing. We haven't found another mountain that has increased their prices. Add to that the scores of ski-school kids that are brought to the course as a way of occupying their time meaning the race line gets to be 20-30 people long. Not all bad, mountain has done a good job keeping snow on the mountain through poor weather. If Mother Nature would only do her fair share. Crowds have been down significantly due to higher prices and poor conditions, so that has been at least nice to not have long lift lines.

Always a great time 01/04/2012 by: Anonymous Living in Cleveland, we only have a few choices for good skiing that doesn't require a plane ride. My family and I recently switched are trips to 7Springs and I suspect we will be here for awhile. The package specials they run for lodging/skiing are great. Helen's has to be one of the finest steak houses in the country. All in all, a great resort year round

Seven Springs - Late Season Lift/Lodging Package 02/04/2011 by: Anonymous I just wanted to post a review in regards to seven springs late season lift/lodging package. If your looking for a long weekend getaway at a great price this is for you. My girlfriend and I went last year in late february and we really enjoyed ourselves, the price was great and there is so much to do. It also came with breakfast buffet daily and ski check. We also stayed in the main lodge, which was great. I definitely plan on doing this again. For the price it cant be beat. Another great thing about the late season package was that it wasnt overly crowded either, all around great place and trip.

Absolutely Awesome 01/30/2011 by: Mark R. Coyle We had the time of our lives. My wife, son and his girlfriend, daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic time. We were on the slopes all day and topped it off with an unbelievable buffet dinner. The staff at Seven Springs was helpful and we met a number of people from Baltimore (we lived there for 25 years). If you like the outdoors, you will love Seven Springs. We will be back! Mark, Linda, Kirsten, Ryan and Morgan.

Great Lodge & slopes 01/24/2011 by: Anonymous This is quite the resort. Many different lodges and a hotel and conference center. This is a vacation in itself. Bowling alley, spa, rollerskating rink, restaurants, bakery, hair salon, and a magnificent slope to boot. Great halfpipe too.

Skiing Nirvana hits the Springs 01/18/2011 by: Gene Skied 7Springs on Jan. 7th. Best skiing ever for me at this resort. 4 to 6 inches of powder on groomed base. Snow and sun on and off all day. No lift lines! Well it was a Friday. All slopes we skied were very good, either groomed or powder on groomed. Some hard pack in spots . Minimal to non-existant ice. A great day! I will return for more.

Holiday Weekends and Big Crowds 01/18/2011 by: Catt During a holiday weekend, such as MLK Day, the resort has a difficult time with crowd management at the entrance gate, in the lodge, and the lift lines. At the entrance gate, ticket processing took on average 2-3 minutes per car causing a long line of traffic. It took us 30 minutes to get our tickets. The next day we drove in the pass thru lane and purchased our tickets at the ticket counter on resort grounds and there was no wait. In the Tahoe Lodge, lines were long and disorganized to purchase food. All tables were full and people were eating standing up or waiting up to 20 minutes for a seat. Lift lines were long on Sunday and for those of us that pay good money for tickets we would appreciate staff consistently checking for tickets and monitoring lift lines. An older Safety Ranger caught some teenagers without tickets and pulled them out of line telling them that when the had a ticket they could ride the lift. Good for him-7 Springs needs more employees like that!

Awesome place to snowboard! 01/11/2011 by: Tara This ski resort is an awesome place to ski/snowboard weather you are a first time skier or advanced. It has so many trails to go on, good conditions, a huge mountain, and always a ton of fun. Great early conditions 12/23/2010 by: Dave Farmer 12//21/2010 9:30 AM - Great snow! Good coverage with few bare spots. Early morning found a few inches of soft snow ( no ice). Almost all runs and most lifts were open with no lift lines. Cold temps (20s) and light wind kept the snow in great condition. Lift tickets during the week $47 but good till 7PM! Food in cafeteria is good with large selection but a little pricey - $5/small bowl of soup! Sandwiches - $7! but good quality. A FEW TIPS - Tue. and Thur. ski with the Over the Hill Gang (65YOA) for $30 lifts.Must register in lodge. For a great lunch - Homemade soup, bread, and huge salad bar - $12 for unlimited trips!

Great conditions for December! 12/19/2010 by: Catt Conditons were great today. Skied mostly on the North Face. Gunnar was excellent. Powder and hard packed, few icy spots. Crowds were minimal. No wait time! They were blowing snow on the half-pipe all day. Restroom in locker room area is closed for renovations. Have to use facilities upstairs.

Above average ski mountain for PA 02/22/2009 by: Catt Seven Springs is a family mountain with trails that everyone can ski and meet at the bottom to ride the lift up together. The high speed chair can get crowded as can the slopes associated with access to that chair. My favorite is the North Face of the mountain which tends to be less crowded. A parking tip to avoid the crowds: go to the North parking area and park there. You can also purchase tickets there. There is no direct access to a lodge to store your stuff, but just put your boots on at the car and start skiing from Lost Boy or Sunset Slope. The Vail Lodge at the top of the North Face is a good place to grab a meal at a decent price, relatively speaking, for ski resort food. They have good Nastar participation. The racing is fun for the entire family. They consistently have the"open-to-the-public" races each weekend.

Take your ice ax 02/22/2009 by: Dave Skied today 2/17 on was supposed to be packed powder - according to ski report. Hard to carve an edge and in several spots, clear ice was showing. Otherwise food was good at the base lodge. Mt. top lodge closed! All things considered - $20 lift ticket for the Over the Hill Gang (Tues. & Thurs.) - it was an OK day.

Excellent Family Resort - Even if you don't ski 02/01/2009 by: Sheri Newcomb Excellent accommodations and a great price. Be sure to ask them about their ski incentive packages. The rooms were very clean, staff were very accommodating and the food choices were excellent and a excellent price. No lines for this lift, except during their busy times and the lines were very short. Slopes were fantastic and the powder was great. Very little ice. Lots of great choices for skiing areas - south and north side of the mountain. Best skiing I have enjoyed so far. If you don't (or do) ski you can enjoy the pool, game room, roller skating, indoor put-put, lounges, fireplaces and several shops to shop. Ginger Bread is a great place for desserts. And the view from the restaurant is fantastic. Easy access in and out, even during a snow storm. They really take care of their guest.

Great resort 12/10/2008 by: Anonymous We haven't been to this resort for a few years, because it is difficult to get lodging on the week-ends. Must be because it is very popular and a great resort. This is actually the resort my husband learned to ski at many years ago. We took our young son there with some other friends. We loved the tubing park. The lines went so quickly. We spent an entire day tubing. There is so much to do at this resort even if you aren't a snow bunny and enjoy the winter wonderland, there is bowling, roller skiing or just relaxing around the resort. We are hoping to visit again this year if our son's school schedule will coincide with lodging availability. We live in Ohio and it is about a 5 hour drive for us to Pennsylvania, but it is well worth the drive!

"If you like poorly run resorts, 7springs is the place to go" 02/17/2008 by: Anonymous Overpriced, poorly managed, and dangerous are just a few words that describe my experience at 7springs mountain resort. I understand lines are a part of skiing, but poorly run lines are not. The selection of food is quite awful and overpriced. The bar does not even offer food. I have never been surrounded by so many awful skiers. I truly felt as though I was in danger of getting hit. This mountain is horrible and obviously does not try to cater to the customer. Apparently, it's all about money for 7springs, not experience. Do yourself a favor and drive to Hidden Valley.

Nice setup 01/21/2007 by: Anonymous 7 Springs is a very nice resort close to Pittsburgh. There can be several thousand people there on any given weekend due to it close proximity to Pittsburgh. However, the lifts and trails at 7 Springs make it seem a lot less crowded, which is a great thing. The 6 pack is nice to get up to the North face, but that's all it's really good for (unless you want to ski a green run back down to it).
