Great deal for military and those missing snow in the Midwest
Posted on 01/28/2013 by: D

I usually ski at Lake Tahoe but had a great time here close to home. There was a variety of intermediate runs I enjoyed. A much better experience than expected. Military vets get 50% off. Friendly helpful staff. Very reasonable prices for food and drink.

Very anti military
Posted on 01/17/2011 by: Diego

Used to be a regular costumer until I went there as a military member and lost my lift pass. When I went to the front I told the manager I lost my pass and showed her my receipt and accused me of lying so I talked to the owner and shower her my receipt and she accused me of scamming the place (apparently the had a problem with people buying the discounted tickets and giving them away recently) simply because I was military without any sort of proof or anything and told me to leave. Horrible costumer service... horrible. Not to mention the Hills are very small, the rentals suck, and it's over crowded.

I can't wait until they open back up for the season. It's great to have a place to go to ski and snowboard right here in Missouri.

A fun place!

This is a great place to go, fun and close, if you are needing a little ski time and can't venture to the west or east coast! Sunday afternoons are a great deal and a lot of fun. Get off the couch and try it.

Tons of snow
Posted on 02/19/2007 by: Ben Soeter

It was like stepping into another world in this otherwise southern (100 degree summers) climate. I went from a semi-green lawn at home wearing a long sleeve shirt to thigh high packed granular snow with full snow gear- it was unexpected sking fun for the whole family.

Coming from skiing many of the Wisconsin and upper penninsula (of Michigan) ski hills, it was easily just as fun.

Great city winter getaway
Posted on 01/31/2007 by: Elizabeth

The rating for skiing/snowboarding varies depending on your expectations. This is a great place to go with friends or family outside of the city. Hidden Valley has added many new hills/levels every year, and now it has a lot more variety for the intermediate skiier. The lodge has a bar and a lot of food to choose from, which is good for those skiiers who exhaust easily. The beginner skiier would be happy due to the free lessons and variety of bunny hills. The hills unfortunately take less than a minute (on average) to ski down, but it is a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend the midnight ski session - less people, better snow, and fun!
