Skied here once before last year and again on 12/31/12 as part of a 5 area "tour" of WI and MN resorts. Area has a nice variety of terrain for its size and limited verticle. I'm not a border but parks looked like they also had a wide variety of rails and jumps. Tree skiing was "open" but the snow was pretty thin with many bare spots. Looks like it could be a lot of fun with more natural snow. Would also be nice if they left one run ungroomed to allow some bumps to develop. All and all, they definitely make the most of what they have.

Had a great experience with my two sons, and parents. We all recieved two hours of instruction and really enjoyed all three instructors. My sons, 7 and 6 years old had two instructors each and were skiing down Gentle Giant after lunch. What a great day!

i love nordic MTN there terrain park. out of 1-100 i give it a thousand! i love nordic mtn and its the best place to go for park riding and if you just wanna go down the hills!

Runs were great! Great family atmosphere! Could have larger bar/lunch area...

Nordic Mountain has multiple runs that are suited for many levels of skiing or snowboarding. The runs vary from short and steep to long and slower. A terrain park was recently added and has boxes and rails and jumps for everyone to try. The people who work there are helpful when it comes to fixing your equipment, even if it means adjusting something you own!

I have been skiing at this location for over 20 years. It is a great place to take your family or anyone skiing for the first time.

Went here last year and snowboarded with my brother ....the lines were handled well and we never waited too long for a lift. Great conditions and warming chalet

Excellent conditions on March 1, fresh powder in the trees, no ice anywhere! Small lift lines, all lifts up and running! Friendly lift operators, could not ask for a better time!

Beautiful conditions on Sunday, very light lift lines until around 2, but hey, they gotta have alot of riders to make money to stay open for us! Groomed runs, no icy spots, if you like riding in the trees, be a little careful, could use some fresh snow for that. Cheers.

Ski slope conditions were very good, especially after it started to snow later in the day. We took our granddaughter for her first ski experience and Bud was an AWESOME instructor - he has the patience of a Saint and became a creator of a new excited skier! We were disappointed that we had to pay weekend prices for a weekday and even more disappointed to find one of 2 lifts down for a good portion of the day. The other lift was staffed and had someone doing traffic control to keep the lines flowing fairly. The lift guys were very helpful with assisting us onto the ski lift chair. The food in the bar area was terrible, guess they ran out of buns and instead of telling us, just left us wait while they ran into town to get more... and then served us burnt burgers and lukewarm fries. Boot and ski rental staff was very helpful with any adjustments. I would recommend this hill - but bring your own food.

Gentle Giant run is the perfect run to teach newbie boarders, long and wide! The T bar has been removed and in its place is a handle rope tow which is a great improvement for the terrain park.

The only reason for a "4" overall rating is because Nordic will have to figure out a better way to load the chair, too many lines are converging in the same loading area making it a bit of a "cluster". Perhaps if the other chair would start running right away instead of waiting until the lift line clogs up.... The lift guys are very cool though and very helpful getting everybody safely up the hill.

Hopefully this little warm spell from yesterday, 12/14, didn't set back opening the rest of the runs for this week-end!.

Boarded at Nordic on Sunday, Feb. 24. Excellent conditions with packed powder and powder along the edges of some runs. There is a great snowboard park area with rails, jumps, etc. No half pipe though - maybe they will have one next season. Lift lines varied from no wait to 5 min. at the most. Only whine is when we wanted to get a drink from the bar, the bar stools were full but many stools had small children sitting on them......waste of bar space, should move kids to tables, so we did not stay for an after ski drink.

Since the new owner took over, Nordic has added more snowboard areas and the attitude of the Nordic is more relaxed. Skiing in the trees is now allowed! The lift operators are very calm and don't get into a frenzy when dealing with people who just don't get how to get on and off the chair lift.

Snow conditions of 12/08 where a bit "crusty" but after that slush crud that arrived last week, I was just happy to be able to board at all!
