Great snow all the time!

Mt Hood gets a ton of snowfall, which makes for some awesome snowboarding/skiing. The price is ok, and they definitely have enough runs to keep me from getting bored. Good place to go. |

Ride the Volcano!

So I had a bonus day on a trip that I thought wasn't going to have any snow involved. New Years Eve, 2008 - the storms had passed, all was clear except the roads, and the snow was soft and fluffy. It was my first time at Meadows, and came about because Timberline doesn't have enough parking or rentals to answer demand. The extra drive was worth it for the snow, for sure. The unfortunate part is that the person who sets the ticket rates knows that, and the resort is not a bargain. Having said that, the views are unsurpassed (was that Idaho?), and the variety of runs is outstanding. |

Great views and fluffy snow
Posted on 04/27/2008 by: Spicerack Meadows is a big area and, assuming that the storms cooperate, you can appreciate it. Great runs up high, and good variety down low. There are enough express lifts to get around without too much delay. On New Years Eve (12/31/2007), the storms broke, and you could see Idaho maybe. Mount Bachelor was the little hill a few volcanoes over. Watch out for parking issues on big days. |
