ok 02/04/2010 by: Anonymous Just went here for the first time, they have a nice area that's really good for beginners. They seem to stress the family-oriented aspect, which works I guess. Not too much in the way of steep runs but it's enough to keep me occupied for a day - maybe not for expert experts though. Not my favorite place, but it's still fun.

Small, Slow Lifts, and Expensive 05/10/2009 by: Anonymous Very rude service, flat hill, very short runs. Only one groomed run off the top. Hodag runs maybe 1/4 of the time. No half pipe, terrain park has 2 tiny rails and one very poor shaped small hit. no flow whatsoever...i wouldn't even call it a park, just a couple rails and a hit thrown on the same run. tons of potential, but i think the management is more into kids and family learning type. too bad there is absolutely nothing for them after they figure out snowplow. hoodoo need something to keep the advanced skier entertained. a decent park would be key.

Spring Day in January 01/15/2009 by: Anonymous The day started off icy, since there hasn't been much snowfall the last few days, but as the sun fell on the different runs, the snow loosened up and the shredding was great. The view from the top was gorgeous with there only being a smattering of clouds in the sky. As the snow became softer, the layers came off, just like a spring day in March.

cheap thrills 01/06/2009 by: Anonymous Hoodoo is a fun little mountain, great for beginners and families. Experts can bomb it down the hill if they're feeling frisky. Try to avoid knocking down the youngsters! For folks on vacation to Black Butte Ranch, Hoodoo is only a few minutes away and worth the trip. Food is good and cheap, and the mountain isn't overcrowded. Hit it up on a weekday and enjoy the mountain practically by yourself.

Great for beginners 01/18/2008 by: Liane I took my 4 1/2 year old twins up for lessons last weekend. The instructors and staff were great. They were personable, caring and knowledgeable. By the end of their lesson, both boys were going down the hill with their instructors and loving every minute of it. What a great experience for them!
