Don't go there
Posted on 02/26/2013 by: Anonymous

The owners don't know what their doing. They need a "trained" park crew that fixes the features throughout the day. They don't know how to setup most features (buried/hit by the cat) I think her name is Tiffany but she doesn't care about anyone else except for her usasa "team" and is very biaest towards other snowboarders there. The place barely got redone and still looks like garbage. It's not worth the 45 day pass because the setup usually stays the same for a month. They don't have any "legit" competitions there only usasa. I would recommend going to SUNBURST >>>> actually worth the 40 spent there. DON'T GO TO RAGING BUFFALO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET RIPPED OFF.

Raging Buffalo Great Terrain Park!
Posted on 12/14/2010 by: Anonymous

Raging Buffalo is a small resort. It is specifically a terrain park. There is no lift, it is all tow rope. The terrain park is great. There are features for all levels. Towards midseason they have a halfpipe up. They have a majority of rails including boxes, kinks, hand rails, tubes, rainbows and much more. They have jump sizes for every level. They have a small jump for the beginers and they have a big booter for the more advanced levels. The park allways has lots of snow and opens up early in the season and stays open late at the end of the season. There allways creating new setups so your not riding the same thing over and over again which is nice and they always have fun competitions and rail jams going on. Though raging buffalo is mostly snowboarders they do allow skiers too. If you ride park, this is the place to go in Illinois.

This place is great for seasoned or brand new snowboarders. I went the other week with some friends and family and had a great time. We did one of the beginner packages which turned out to be a great deal. Our instructor was really nice and made sure we understood everything.
