Well Managed, Offer Little for Experienced Skiers
Posted on 01/07/2011 by: Christi

Liberty makes good use of their small "mountain" but as a frequent skier looking for a close in destination I found I was bored within an hour. There's one nice very short pitch on a double black that was kinda fun. Other than that, it was just laps. It's probably a fine destination for rider/skiers who are not fit or conditioned. The short runs are like windsprints and good for conditioning. And it's probably a nice family destination, and for beginning and intermediate skiers/riders...just don't plan to spend a whole day there. For what they offer, I thought it was quite expensive. They charge real mountain prices for a hill.

Good skiing for the east coast!
Posted on 12/14/2010 by: Anonymous

Ski Liberty has good skiing for the east coast. Although east coast can hardly compare to out west slopes, the lifts run fast enough for out here and this is a good resort for families. There's a good variety of slopes and terrain park although their sister resort, Whitetail has a better terrain park, the trails are generally less icy at Liberty. Only about an hour and a half from DC so this a good option for this area, definitely give it a try!

Fun Birthday!
Posted on 01/11/2010 by: Elizabeth

I traveled to Liberty Mountain for my birthday on January 9, 2010 and enjoyed the day with friends. While the parking lot was completely full to the back we didn't experience long lift lines. We enjoyed pit beef sandwiches (more like pulled beef BBQ) that were pretty good, but very, very expensive. The slopes had icy patches, but overall the riding conditions were pretty good for the area and the slopes were crowded, but ride-able. In short, bring your own food and drink, get there early and enjoy a good day of local riding.
