Mehhh 08/03/2014 by: Dave Stayed at Solitude last season with family. Boards/skis day one of our trip and we weren't big fans. Tons of ice and honestly the trails were just "ok". Asked staff about the trail from Solitude to Brighton which we were told was intermediate at best and easy to navigate for boarders, Not so much ... Tons of moguls and very steep and we had a couple older skiers who were unable to surpass it not to mention it was pretty far and there were numerous flat spots after the initial mogul field. However, brighton wound up being our favorite of the trip so the experience deemed worthy.

Feel the Local Love! 11/04/2011 by: Jenni B. Short lift lines, down-to-earth clientele, and super friendly employees make Solitude the true local's choice. While you may find slightly (ver slightly) less vert than at that McResort over in the other canyon, they call it Solitude for a reason. Almost every time I've ever skied there I've had at least one opportunity to cut a trails first lines of the day.

"Get away from the crowds" 01/24/2011 by: Anonymous We went to Solitude on January 2, 2011 knowing there were still a lot of people in town for the holidays and the resorts would be crowded because of all the early season snow Utah resorts have been getting this year. We made the right choice. Although the lower parking lot seemed full, once we got our passes and went to the lifts, we relatively got right on. There was plenty of snow and great coverage, I did not see or hit a rock all day. Everything was open which gave us multitudes of choices as where to ski. There were plenty of groomed runs for cruising and we still found some powder shots in the trees. It's nice to spend more time on the slopes instead of in a lift line and with their electronic passes and gates, it saves the hassle of waiting to be scanned by a lift operator which speeds things up even more. Go to Solitude, "Get some Solitude".
