cool 12/30/2012 by: Anonymous review is in comparison to other socal resorts. i'd recommend trying snow valley for those that have not gone. it is closer to LA than summit/bear mountain. but obviously mt. high and baldy are closer. less crowds than summit/bear/mt. high. still a good number of people though. terrain park "the edge" is more difficult than the one a mt. high. had a problem with tickets i had purchased at a 3rd party website but the staff worked with my group to resolve the issue. friendly service! ticket lines are busy in the morning so get there a little early. lifts aren't super fast but are not slow. overall, try it out. had a good time. i do feel that their beginner area is a little too flat. and also has random areas where it bumps up and down.. causing dead spots.

Needs more park terrain for intermediate areas 12/30/2012 by: Anonymous Customer service here was good, guy with long grey hair and Jaimaicanish accent helped us out with our skiforfree tickets. Snow was pretty good for intermediate trails, for advanced trails was pretty icy. Sucks because that's where the park terrain was at. They don't have any intermediate park terrain so if you're just starting out I suggest you go to Mt. High. Other than that resort was pretty nice. $5 parking :(

Very friendly service 02/22/2009 by: Anonymous We have snowboarders and skiers in our family and we all enjoyed skiiing at snow valley/ Even on a holiday weekend we did not wait a long time in line and there was absolutely no line for the night skiing. The runs were well groomed with lots of powder. There was plenty of terrain opened for the snowboarders. We had dinner in the cafeteria. The food was hot and delicious and well priced. We enjoyed the time so much we are planning to go back soon.

Avoid the crowds at Bear and Summit 12/29/2008 by: Russell Brown The snow was great. If you have a chance and want to avoid the crowds at Bear and Summit now’s the time. It’s starting to warm up and unless there’s another big storm this year I don’t think you’ll get conditions like this again this year. The mountain is 100% covered and you can still find some untouched sections. Be safe and have fun.

Not bad for locals 12/29/2008 by: Anonymous For local riding, Snow Valley was pretty good. We had a voucher for some free lift tickets from Discount Tires and decided to go up Sunday 12/28. There was mild powder, maybe 4-5" in some parts, but the good thing was it wasn't icy at all during the day. We had night tickets, and once the sun went down it got really cold and the snow turned to ice. A few spots weren't lit up so it made it difficult to see bumps when you're flying down the run. All in all, it wasn't annoyingly crowded like Bear & Summit can get and was definitely worth the free trip. Traffic sucked on the way out.
