![]() 03/04/2009 by: ksalazar Heavenly Points: - Decently long intermediate runs and a variety to choose from. - Good snow conditions due to higher elevations - Access is nice from Nevada side, if you want to avoid the Gondola -Scenery is fantastic, at a certain point on the Ridge Run, you see only the lake ahead. -Beginners do not generally come in the way of strong intermediate area skiing. Ugly Points: - You get cross-country skiing thrown in whether you want it or not - many flat to uphill portions in between lifts, could do better with that part - AVOID RoundAbout tail to Calif. lodge. - Wind can stop the Sky Express and Tamarack chairs, not too frequent though - Expensive; not making an effort to keep the costs under control - Black Diamond terrain is limited unless you go all the way to Double-Blacks - A couple of more groomed blacks would be great. All in all, on a good

![]() 02/11/2008 by: Cheryl A. Moody When you're at Heavenly, you know how this place got it's name. It's absolutely picture perfect! The people there are always nice and helpful. There is lots of other things to do when the slopes close for the evening. It's fun skiing along and you see a sign that reads, "Welcome to Nevada." Then when skiing back, the sign reads, "Welcome to California." There are so many different trails and lifts. It's great! Just don't drop you glove off the Gondola like my daughter did. Bound and determined to get this "expensive" glove back, she skiied under the chairlift to retrieve it. Oh what "Heavenly" memories!

![]() 11/27/2007 by: Spicerack You would think by the hype that all marks would be "great." Well, there are four reasons not to like H - tons of skating / walking, the runs aren't long enough, the beginner area is small, and cost. If you just go up the mountain and stay in your area, it is pretty good - decent snow, and lots of terrain. but if you go exploring, get ready to traverse - long long traverses. Also, the mountain is tall but the shape of the area cuts the runs into halves to get from top to bottom (except over on the Nevada side - hope you have snow). Last, if you are a beginner like my poor kid, you are stuck in a little postage stamp, and you can't even see the lake. Overall, the resort is expensive, and not really worth it, at least on a snowboard. Go to Whistler instead for a real resort...
