Snow Summit Terrain

Most of our runs are suitable for traditional alpine skiing, especially the center and east side of the mountain with runs such as Miracle Mile, The Wall, Olympic, Log Chute, Perfect Pitches and Timber Ridge. The terrain parks for snowboarders and skiers are confined to portions of the west side of the mountain encompassing only about 10% of our terrain.

What's New This Season at Snow Summit

Big Bear Mountain Resorts has invested more than $12 million in the past few seasons to advance its snowmaking capabilities, which benefits guests by providing more reliable snow conditions as well as enhances the snow quality every day of the winter season. With a nearly inexhaustible supply of water from Big Bear Lake, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain can cover 100% of developed runs with a fresh blanket of man-made snow- from three to five feet on many runs! This is substantially more than any other Southern California resort, as they rely on extremely limited amounts of well water and are often forced to reduce their snowmaking, thus offering fewer open runs.
