Pila Terrain
Pila has a wide variety of technically different pistes, satisfying all skiers, beginnings or fun carving enthusiasts, offering perfect conditions on all routes from the least demanding (Baby Pila, Baby Gorraz, Grimod) to those for the most expert and particular riders (Leissé and Couis 2 pistes). In the morning you’ll find the pistes perfectly groomed and the snow pure white, ideal for those who want to weave their way along the snow using blades better than the snowboarders! For beginners, you’ll appreciate the smooth, perfectly groomed pistes (no ice or bumps along the way) - essential when practising your first curves.

What's New This Season at Pila
Pila is always looking ahead. For the 2009-2010 season it has worked on improving its snow making equipment with the total coverage of slope no. 4, Plan Perdu, and no. 13, Leissé, which was not previously covered on the final stretch. With these latest works the percentage of the resort no longer subject to the whims of the weather increases to 62%, guaranteeing a Pila which is always whiter. Adjustments have also been made to the lifting equipment, with an increase from 2.5 to 2.8 m/sec in the speed of the Couis 1 chairlift, which will now take only 8’ 56” to cover its entire course. Less climbing time, more skiing time! In order to provide greater comfort for skiers at Aosta, there is a large building at the departure station of the Aosta-Pila cablecar containing an equipment deposit with closed lockers, complete with boot dryers. There will be a charge for this service, which is available for customers and those staying in the city.Information last updated 10/27/2009.
