Sugarbush Resort Terrain

Sugarbush Resort, tucked against the 4,000’ mountains that surround Warren, VT, is a remarkable four-season mountain destination in central Vermont’s sweeping Mad River Valley. Located just 50 minutes south of the Burlington International Airport and only a short drive off I-89, the Resort’s 54 miles of trails offer the most diverse terrain in the East. The Slide Brook Basin, a 2000-acre wilderness area that lies between Sugarbush’s Mount Ellen and Lincoln Peak, is an adventurer’s paradise. Guided snowshoe, ski and snowboard tours provide outdoor lovers not only the chance to spy bear and moose, but also the opportunity to have a true backcountry experience. Ski Magazine recently rated us #1 in terrain variety!

What's New This Season at Sugarbush Resort

Guests arriving at Lincoln Peak this winter will discover a new entrance plaza and two new base lodges. The Schoolhouse building will be home to our Micro, Mini and Sugar Bear winter programs, après-ski activities for children, and our summer programs. The Farmhouse will house our new Sunrise Café, ticket and season pass sales, public storage lockers and restrooms, the adult ski school, and rentals and repairs.

We’re replacing the snowmaking pipes leading to Lincoln Peak along the Sugarbush Access Road, as well as those on German Flats Road leading to our compressor building at Mt. Ellen. This new infrastructure will last for several decades and will ensure the integrity of our snowmaking systems.
