About Snowshoe

Snowshoe Mountain is a four-season destination resort situated in the southern portion of the pristine Allegheny Mountains. This 11,000-acre natural playground, offers 1,500 feet of vertical drop for its expansive skiing and mountain biking terrain. Two hundred and forty-four acres of skiable terrain over 60 slopes and 3 distinct areas makes Snowshoe the region's largest winter resort, and the readers of Ski Magazine named us the #1 Southern Ski Resort.

Our mountain top village, nearly a mile high, offers a unique variety of lodging, dining and shopping options and a host of special events and activities make the West Virginia resort a destination for the entire family year-round.

On average, Snowshoe sees a total of 180 inches of natural snowfall every year, and with 100% snowmaking, we're open when others in the region aren't--an average of 130 days each winter. With three new slopes this season, Snowshoe continues to provide more room for the perfect turn.
