Great for Beginners and Intermediate Riders
I am a newbie to snowboarding, only my second time on the mountain so Royal seemed to be the best place to start. They have plenty of snow and its not very crowded and there are no lines by the lift.

Royal Conditions
I was up at Royal Mounatain yesterday snowboarding for the first time. The trails were in good conditions. We have not had much snow so the slopes were a bit icy but overall really nice.

What's New This Season at Royal Mountain
Royal has installed 3 new chairlifts since 1999. We are able to move over 3,000 skiers per hour up the mountain making lift lines almost non-existent.
