Good snow, good vibe 12/08/2012 by: Anonymous This is an exceptional place to go. It is too bad that lift tickets are going up in price everywhere. I have probably put in 40 days in over the years. It's still a favorite spot for me. When it snows it is great. It's got good steeps and a good vibe.

Remains a favorite 12/26/2011 by: Kirk This remains a favorite resort. I have put in a lot of days at Fernie. In fact, I put in three before Christmas this year. Lots of steep terrain, as well as good intermediate and beginner terrain. They do get a lot of snow, which is always a good thing. There are some good food options in town and on the hill.

Powder heaven. 02/07/2008 by: rahul Sadly fernie is not the powder heaven that people talk about in hushed tones anymore. its getting more and more popular.. But powder heaven, it still is. While the rest of the interior or alberta is dry, fernie can be getting pounded. 5 huge bowls and a lift system that makes the best stuff not easy to get to.. great place to ski! visibility can be an issue and so can open terrain since fernie is one of the most avy prone resorts in the continent with its headwalls. But get here on a powder day, you'll fall in love with this place.

FERNIE SNOW VALLEY WISH LIST 01/17/2007 by: RICHARD AND VICKY CLARK Used to be Fernie powder hounds and lived in the parking lot in a trailer in the Heiko days. We had season passes for 12 consecutive years and my husband has the #5 snowboard license issued when boarders were the dreaded ones on the slopes and now they rule. Haven't skiied your resort in 15 years but have heard that it is incredibly expensive and crowded. Sure would like to see what you have done with it. A pair of tickets for The Clarks would sure be an incentive to try the hill again. Just spent the afternoon at the Castle and had an excellent time. Is it still worth the extra expense and time to travel to Fernie??

Great place! 11/11/2002 by: Anonymous Excellent snow all over the place! Deep powder falls at night, leaving endless first track opportunities, along pistes or through glades. Friendly people and good accommodation complete the picture - stay on the hill to get the most skiing (I was at Snow Creek Lodge, which was very good)

Not bad at all 11/11/2002 by: John Walters This was my first time at Fernie. I really likes this place. They get a ton of snow, and the place is just starting to get built up. It makes for a great weekend.

Nice and Friendly 11/11/2002 by: Chris I just got back from a first ever trip to Fernie - absolutely loads of snow, which handily tends to fall overnight, leaving fresh powder for the morning... Add to that very friendly resort staff and a generally laid-back feel to the place, and the place just can't seem to be better. The resort is just being properly established, and there's a limited choice of facilities and accommodation on the hill: more in the town. But the hill's the place to be, to ski longer! I stayed at Snow Creek Lodge, which was excellent - a (proper) ski-in ski-out place, with lovely views of the slopes. Well worth going to.
