Fantastic!
Posted on 12/26/2011 by: Kirk This is a great place to check out. The town of Golden is a quaint place. The resort itself is very modern, and still not over utilized. There is a big variety of terrain, so it's a good family option as well. They have some remarkable steeps. |

Not overrun yet!

i have spent roughly 7 days on a few trips at Kicking Horse. I like the town, and the hill is nice up top. Riding top to bottom can be tiring, so I stuck with the top part of the hill when I could. It's a good ride, with some nice steeps. It's far enough, that Calgary locals don't make the longer trek out. It's a good place to ride. I still haven't been there for a good pow day yet though. i hope I do. |

To access the top of the mountain we took a quick gondola ride the staff were super friendly the runs were great especially the runs down both far sides of the mountain i recommend "pioneer" very fun good food on the patio at the bottom of the hill the terrain park was small but defiantly do-able for a beginner, looking forward to coming back ! Thanks |

Sweet Ride

Skied Kicking Horse last season during reading break. The weather was unreal (above 0), sunny, and the terrain was excellent. Though there was no new snow during the 5 days I was there, and the weather was insanely mild, the snow pack held up well and was still a great ride. I would recommend this mountain to ANYONE and would suggest going for more than one day (preferably more than 3 even as the mountain has a lot to explore). There is also good terrain for AT, though I did not indulge. A great mountain, a great resort. Loved it. |

Kicking horse has some of the most challenging steep skiing in western north america. A comfortable gondola, great food choices from economy to fine dining and fabulous terrain. |
