With over 120 inches of average snowfall annually in Garrett County, the season starts late November and lasts until early April. The largest percent of slope difficulty is intermediate making it ideal for beginner to expert skiers & boarders. Wisp Resort's newest attraction - The Flying Squirrel Canopy Tour and the Chipmunk Challenge Course take your winter adventure off the ground! If you've ever wondered what it would be like to soar among the trees, then have we got a surprise for you! Introducing the new Flying Squirrel Canopy Tour for 10 years and older between 70 & 250 lbs! This is the first challenge course canopy tour of its kind in the Deep Creek Lake area offering amazing tree-top views, agility challenges and 5 breathtaking zips from 180 feet to over 400 feet! The Chipmunk Challenge Course is for 4 years and older between 40 & 250 lbs and offers 2 zips from 60 - 200 feet along with 6 obstacles along the way.
