About Catamount
Catamount straddles the New York and Massachusetts border on Route 23. Since 1939, downhillers of all ages have enjoyed Catamount's excellent diversity of terrain and down-home atmosphere right here in the Berkshires. The trails are uncrowded, the lift lines are short and the snow conditions are superbly maintained. It all starts with Catamount's White Storm snowmaking system featuring over 400 snow guns, experienced snowmakers and a fleet of 5 grooming vehicles producing the finest snow surfaces possible over reliable snow depths that last through the end of March.
The mountain also receives 8-9 feet of snow on average each season. Our Snowsports School has over 150 PSIA and AASI trained professionals ready to help skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ability levels reach their goals of excelling in these fun winter sports. Our location is easy to get to from the New York Metro area, Connecticut and New Jersey.
