Every ski resort in the midwest has vertical limited to a few hundred feet'. But Whitecap has 500 acres, 3 times the area that others have. It's more fun to explore. It's great for kids with very long green runs. Finally, they bought a used, mile long chairlift and stung it across two mountain tops and two bottoms. Both top stations can be considered midway. Thus, it is the only place I have ever seen where you can pass skiers on the chair going the other way and both of you think you are going uphill. Whitecap is four hours from Minneapolis, same distance as Lutsen and makes a nice change up. Great place. Love to see them thrive.

It was my first time skiing here and it was AWESOME!!!! I am planning to come back in February with a bunch of friends. I can't wait to come back. Thank you White Cap!!!!!!

We have been going there for years and just love the quiet and peacefulness of the Whitecap Experience. The Winehut makes a great place to meet and enjoy other skiers and their families.

At Whitecap on 1/24/04 and the snow was super! Everyone friendly and all lifts were running - Great place to ski!
